Flamereptile
Flamereptile, also known as Nolan Bradley, is our Founder, Lead Author, and Director. He is a Structural Engineer with a passion for TTRPGs, 3D Printing, Painting, Anime, and Video Games. Nolan draws inspiration from his friends, family, and (many…) hobbies while writing many of his adventures. His lovely wife, DawnofDoone, pushed him to start Dime Novel Adventures with his closest friends as a way for them to share their adventures with the world! plane. [Images coming soon]
Experience:
Nolan has over a decade of experience with TTRPGs and has been writing and working with our team since its very conception. Most of his game time has been spent in the GM seat (his preferred position), but he has had ample opportunities as a player. He likes to write as a way to get his endless ideas down on paper and out into the world.
Familiars:
Nolan, and his wife, are blessed with a myriad of familiars: two happy puppies (Chester and Callie) and 36 chickens of varying names, natures, and desires to conquer the plane. [Images coming soon]
Characters:
With over a decade of TTRPG play time, most of which has been spent as a GM for D&D 5e, and his time spent writing for Dime Novel Adventures, Nolan has created hundreds of characters, both as friends and foes of the other PCs.
His first character, created for Lost Mine of Phandelver, was Arkalai Parthurnax, yes that Arkalai. He began as a Red Dragonborn Sorcerer with a Draconic Bloodline, but has long since evolved into a storyteller, guidmaster, and inspiration for his many adventures. Nolan hopes to have countless more adventures that feature Arkalai.
Acting as the Archvillain of the longest campaign he has ran thus far, K’ryl Elvarg Jad (or BFOD for short) was a powerful and commanding (hold tight for this one) [Half Ancient Black Dracolich - Half Vampiric Balor] that plagued the gaming table for nearly four years. Although BFOD was a monstrous amalgamation of the darkest and edgiest monsters he could find in the Monster Manual, he grew to become a compelling villain with a rich backstory that still has an impact of the setting to this day.
His most recent character, Xanthous, was a Tiefling Wizard/Warlock that specialized in fantasy law (a lawyer). Xanthous had a rocky start within the campaign, not fitting in very well, but eventually grew as a character and found her niche.
Special Thanks:
Thank you to the Lord, God, for blessing us with the inspiration to keep going. "Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known." Jeremiah 33:3
“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do! That leaves you a lot of options…” - Nolan
TheOneTrueAzzy
TheOneTrueAzzy, also know as Arizona Stockton, is our Lead Editor and one of our awesome Authors. He is a Mechanical Engineer with a love for Video Games, Anime, and TTRPGs.
Experience:
Arizona has over a decade of game time with TTRPGs, and has worked with our team since its conception. Originally a writer, Arizona has taken upon himself the role of Lead Editor. Arizona spends most of his game time in the player seat, but when he sits behind the screen his players know they’re in for a fun time. Arizona grows tired of Nolan’s frequent, and repeated spelling and grammatical mistakes…
Familiars:
Arizona is encouraged, or at least tolerated, by his wife and two dogs, Thor and Loki, who are both Black Labs with some extra ingredients. Loki lives up to his name and is a trouble maker. Thor on the other hand has about two and a half brain cells and fears most things. He lives up to the smarts of his namesake but not the courage.
Characters:
The first character I created (which is the most infamous and one that Nolan frequently refers to as a great calamity of the past in our campaigns) was named off of a silly dare. She is Vladamitra Putano. She was an Eldritch Knight. One of the most long lived and memorable moments was her starting the religion of Pastafarianism in our campaign and made it a nearly world dominating one before she grew tired of it and made it all come crashing down in a grand sky ship battle with the giant flying spaghetti monster. She was a general nuisance to the peace but I was just dipping my toes into the table top gaming world. Some stupidity is almost necessary.
One of my favorite characters that did not live to see the end of the campaign was Eldritch Graves, a Paladin following the oath of vengeance. Necromancers had killed his family so he was out to seek vengeance against all necromancers. One of the best things about this was that another player of the table and I wanted our characters to be brothers and he was a necromancer. The two were separated for some 20 years after their parents were killed and so it was a fun roleplay experience to work through while having a functioning party system. As we developed our backgrounds with each other we had one of my absolute favorite roleplaying experiences that made a great lore character. Eldritch usually handled the morning cooking to everyone’s dismay as he was terrible at it. His brother Torrig asked him how he could ruin eggs so badly so consistently. Eldritch retorted that he was following their grandmother’s recipe books. Torrig being the older of the two by a number of years knew the following and exclaimed that their grandmother was a first rate assassin. Eldritch suddenly had the realization that the cookbook was titled “Granny Graves’ Killer Cookbook” and the recipes he used often called for ingredients like arsenic meant he was constantly poisoning himself and companions. When we finished with the roleplay we were all laughing so hard it brought tears to my eyes.
"It was supposed to be cute and fun, but they just kept inventing new war crimes. I didn't know mayonnaise could be used like that." - Azzy
