Newsletter #1 - Welcome to Dime Novel Adventures!
Happy Tuesday evening all! This marks the first, official, DimeNovelAdventures.com Newsletter! Typically, we would put out our Newsletter on the first of each month, discussing what's going on with DNA, what this month's content is going to be, and what our plans are! Unfortunately, life happens sometimes and we're a day late. A great start, I know, but better late than never I suppose.
If you're here you probably already know, but we launched our website! This one! DimeNovelAdventures.com! So that's pretty exciting! We also release this month's adventure, Beargauntlet, a day early to commemorate the website launch! Check it out!
Venture into the depths of the Beargauntlet Forest and come face to face with the massive, powerful, and not so cuddly Bear Colossus - Uldthrymir! This level 15 adventure is the second installment in our Quest for the Gold Spice series, and the perfect adventure for your party to play this month! Make sure to grab it before the end of the month!
Speaking of content releases, let's talk a little about Dime Novel Adventures content. Typically, each month we release four pieces of content: an Adventure, a Butcher's Block, a Bloodbath & Beyond, and a Workbench. The Adventure is self-explanatory, a one-shot adventure, complete in itself. Our Butcher's Blocks are monthly monster drops. Lore, stats, and occasionally art and/or 3D models. Our Bloodbath & Beyonds are monthly item drops, often magic items, but occasionally just neat and mundane. And finally, the Workbenches are everything else: game mechanics, loot tables, worldbuilding, whatever fits our fancy. Although it is common for the Butcher's Blocks, Bloodbath & Beyonds, and Workbenches to couple with, or be themed by, our Adventure for that month, they don't always. We have, unfortunately, temporarily discontinued all but our Adventure releases for the time being, as our Lead Writer spends many hours each week studying for his licensing exam, and the summer months are terribly busy for our team. With that said, we hope to resume making all of this content, consistently, by the beginning of the next year!
In addition to the different types of content we release every month, we do it in a very particular way. We don't have memberships or subscriptions set up (yet) for this website, but we plan to soon, however, we like to release all of our content for free for the first month of release. That's why we typically say, "Make sure to grab (x) before it's gone!"
Where does it go though? Well that's a good question! Why, in the Tome of Dime Novel Adventures of course! Our complete tome, compendium, and log of all of our works. It also goes in the shop...
Speaking of art! We’re looking for artists to work with and partner with us! If you’re an artist, or 3D modeler, and you’re looking for inspiration or things to work on, send us an email via our Contact Us page! We’d love to talk with you and hopefully work with you on making our works more beautiful!
What else needs to be said? Well, here's a few things that we've been working on, and that we hope to complete soon: Project-P and Project-W (two standalone projects that will make interacting with this website more fun!), getting the Guildhall set up (for memberships, subscriptions, and other benefits), and getting back to streaming!
